Try Fishing In Water..
My family will be joining my sister's family for a camping weekend at Wapapello the second weekend of October. We went there once several years ago but didn't do any good at all. From the few threads I've read on here about this lake, it's got fish, but people don't catch a lot and the ones they catch aren't all that big. So, where to go find fish in Wapapello? And, what is the reason that there are so few large crappie, bass and bream taken from there?
Thanks,
Mike

mike get in touch with speck hunter he fishes wapp.and he can help.
Which campground are y'all staying? I havent been to Wapp in about 2 weeks but we were actually catching some pretty nice fish in the back of Lost Creek. REAL shallow. 2 to 3 feet of water next to brush. You might also try slow trolling flats with white and chartruce jigs and/or minnows. Anything with some orange and chartruce works good also. P.M. me before you all go. Maybe Tall Timber and I can meet you down there that weekend. We'll be happy to show you a few spots. We've taken some 14 and 15 inch fish from Wapp this year. You just have to fight through all of the dinks. The size limit is 3 years old now and starting to pay off I think. There are alot more quality fish than there were even 2 years ago.
