    Default Wagner Lake

I fished the lake this morning with everything i had in my tackle box, i tried things from jigs, crankbiats, dropshots, spinnerbaits to dragging hula grubs and a 4" swimbait. This lake is out near monroe and i have heard several good reports. Does anyone have any personal expierence on this lake that you could share with me. Please PM me if u want to keep the info from getting out. I didn;t have any bites btw.

iv tried fishing fast and slow, as slow as bouncing a jig off the bottom then letting it sit for a minute then bouncing it a couple more times. Then letting it sit. To as fast as burning a crankbait.

This time of year fish your reaction baits fast and pause them.let em sit for a while thats when the strike will occur them twitch them before you start reeling again. With your slow lures speed up just a small amount but thats it.Stick to craw tones with your soft plastics, and bright tones with your crankbaits and spinnerbaits.

Urban if you were koke I would have made fun of you.

Ok I went out to lake alice today, the fish were on the thermocline and werent eating so had to force feed them a flirt worm on a dropshot. Me and my friend got 7 largies. When they did take the worm it wasnt a thump or anything it was just a tension, so they are hitting extremely light. The fish were ant 15 to 17 feet deep the water temp was 56 to 58 degrees; Its time to really slow down. the water temp has dropped a lot in the last week so slow down, go deep and slow. I was hardely ever moving my lureI was keeping it in one place and shaking it for 2 -3 minutes and moving it a few feet and repeating that. My leader was about 14 inches to my drop weight, so they are moving but only a small amount to get it.I also noticed I had to let them eat it for a while, but the bigger fish inhaled it. If you can find offshore structure ant about 12 to 18 feet spend a lot of time fishing it cause the are moving deeper every day.I hope this helps.
