My buddies and I have taken a crappie trip to Alum Creek in Ohio every October for at least 10 years. That is a great lake for crappie in the fall, we have always done well, but now I'd like to move-on and try Lake Erie this October. I would think that we could do just as well up there. Has anyone done any fall fishing for Lake Erie crappie, particularly East Harbor at Marblehwead. Thanks for any help.
I'm 40 mins south of there, but I don't fish much for crappie on Erie, too busy with the perch, eyes & smallies. Usually stick to inland reservoirs for crappie. :o
Have heard of good crappie fishing at the East Harbor St. Pk. launch ramp docks, but you need to ask permission first. Also some areas near downtown Sandusky in the bay. Sorry I can't help much, but you may get more info on the Ohio Game Fishing Forum. Ask in the Northwest Ohio Reports, I know there are a couple big crappie guys on there. Good luck and be sure to report back!! - AtticaFish
