    Default Bucksaw Limit

Due to the forecast of HOT weather...Mrs JJ and I made it to the ramp just before sunrise. Our plan was to catch whatever we could by noon and get off the water before the heat. We started down the lake from Bucksaw and caught a few on cedars and hardwoods....but I wanted to run up the river and hit a spot or two (ever heard the old saying "don't leave fish to find fish") lol

Well we ran up past Pretty Bob and man o man was it windy!! We caught a couple up but the water was dirtier than down so we ran back down (glad we have a 4-stoke Yahama :D) and found OSS....we caught the rest of our limit by noon and got off the water.

Sorry no pics - we had a camera mal-function (JJ was the operator). Mrs JJ started out with a chart/white slab buster and I started out with minnows - we both caught fish...but as the morning progressed the jig bite stopped and Mrs JJ switched to minnows also. Most of the water we fished was 12 deep fishing 10 ft down - we did catch a few in 4 ft of water - fishing cedars and hardwoods.

Probably did. When I was in his boat I was amazed at how quite it was. Very nice.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, body used up and totally worn out screaming 'WOO~HOO what a ride!'

Good to hear the bite is still on. I'm gonna hit it early in the morn. Hope the wind lays down a bit for me.
