    Default Crappie feeding on Shad

Noticed about a week ago large schools of shad everywhere, coves , main lake just everywhere, when I noticed this I switched to blue/white, silver/black gray/white white/sparkle tail, anything that is shadie colored.... it has worked for me the last 3 trips...... Just my 2 cents........

Monty I noticed that too! I have been using pearl or blue and pearl and they haven't let me down for quiet sometime.

Monty-really noticed the shad yesterday, but today Bob and I went out and we never seen em like we did yesterday. We ended up with 7 keepers and met an ole kid that said he knew you and he had caught a limit in 10-12ft down 4ft. Russel was his last name, seemed like a good kid. Heres a picture of Bob:

We had shad thick enough today to walk on. Ran up to Pretty Bob early but was to windy to hold the boat in place for a 6 year old to dip with out getting hung up. Headed down to fish My cove and Your cove out of the wind. We found the cove the shad and the crappie. Along with every other kind of fish. Diped trees in 6 to 20 ft of water. Also pitched to balls of active shad. Most of the fish under the shad were smaller. Could of had a hay day spidder rigging in there today. I had the best net man in the bussiness today. He has more fun netting than he does catching. What a fun day on the water with him this morning. Hope the weather satys nice so we can do it again this week.
