Default Fishing the ledges on Lake Weiss

Guys I need your thoughts on these.
My idea when bottom bouncing. Tie one of these on with a loop knot about 18 inches long. Leave a 2 foot end and tie your 1/2oz weight on . Hook a minnow onto the bug and start bumping the ledges of the river channel. The bug will free float with the minnow attached. Thinking #2 and #4 hooks.
Actually I think it is a great idea for bumping the bottom

You are on to something good. It will keep the minnow out away from the line, and let it have more freedom to swim at will. Only my thoughts.

Why bother with a minnow? And maybe two jigs instead of just one?

What size hook is that? Will the bug stay upright in water when pushed forward in water as shown in picture? Bottombumper

Go ahead and add the marabou tail (if you've not already) and post pics.
