Default Smithville 7/24 and 7/25...AND, SOMETHING I DIDN'T NEED TO SEE!

First off, here's the fishing report. Both Sunday and Saturday was just OK. Fish were biting but they were dinks. Saturday, I fished my usual Robert's Branch area. Caught a bunch of fish less than 9" and only about 3 or so legal limit. Sunday tried the tree line on the south side of the old Trimble Lake. Caught about 40 or so dinks, 3 keepers, and lost 3 keepers at the surface.

OK, now to explain the second half my blog title. I was on the west side of Smithville, north of W Bridge, and just north of the large cove. I was hitting the tree line about 100-200' from shore, rounded a point, and was hit by an image that nobody should see. It was like looking at the sun, IT HURT. I FOUND THE NUDE BEACH! There were two guys laying out pale as sheets and in their fully glory. Man, I know I heard about this place but didn't know it was there. This wasn't what I was expecting on my Sunday fishing trip.

OSS, that bait might scare off the rest of my fish. I'm having a tough time as it is trying to catch'em.

apkape, please mark that on the map, my son and I fish Smithville on a reg. basis and while it would be hard to damage or scare an old warhorse like myself, it could cause permanent damage to my sons delecate pshcy and be scarred for life.
