I have been told by the water patrol on Pomme that it is fresh water jelly fish. Which means that the water quality is excellant. No harm to humans as far as I know.
I was fishing at Pommie this past weekend. Looked in the water and it looked like thousands of jelly fish swimming around. What in the heck was I looking at???. No I wasn't drinking. They looked like the stuff you see on nature shows only the size of a quater, with white tennecles.

I Saw Alot Of Them Up There Last Year. I Thought I Had Been Drinking To Much Pepsi, On A Sugar High, I Never Have Beer On My Boat Only At Home In The Frig.
thank you. I have never heard of a fresh water jelly fish. learn something new everyday.
If they are a little nickel to quarter size creature have seen them on Table Rock before.
cool stuff, never heard of them. I am a little smarter today than yesterday
Where were you at on the lake? I've yet to see anything like that on our end. Fishing still good?
At least once a year someone comes into our office with one in a jar or glass wondering what the heck they are. Scientific name is Craspedaucusta sowerbyi (please don't deduct points for spelling). They are very common in Pomme and many other lakes. I have also seen them in Truman but never the numbers that pomme has. Type freshwater jelly fish into any search engine and you will find lots of info. Though they are non native they are certainly common anymore.
