    Default Truman OtterCreek 7/19

Well old Ron and I decieded to go down and put in at sparrowfoot this am and run the gps and layout tracks with it down to at least otter creek.... got down there and found this piece of alum diamond plate nailed to the big tree just before you go into otter, up about 8' out of the water, nice and shinny.... then we played with the gps some more and worked our way back to sparrowfoot can say for sure the fishing up in that ends really sucked, I think we spent more time hung up on a tree with the bottom of the boat than we did fishing.... When we turn at the rr tracks and go through the orange balls we will be in a little bit of 5' of water but only a short distance and then we pick up the main channel again..... everything else should be 14' to 27' and no problems..... When you see this old big tree with this on it you are at Otter...... It runs up in there quite a ways both big and little otter......

Siome times those scouting trips pay off. I would rather be hung up on that stump in the day time instead of night time, that's for sure. Also good to have those tracks in case of heavy fog too.

Is that the big tree at then entrance? I was thinking there was a license plate on it, but more markers are better then none at all. Hopefully someone won't steal the diamond plate off that tree to scrap it.
