    Default Smithville 7/7

Fished the group of trees, south of the island at Roberts Branch. The bite was OK. I caught some smalls, 6 11" and larger, and 1 4lb channel cat; the cat went back. All fish were caught with black/chart and blue/chart in at least 20' of water around 12' down.

Met some more CDC guys: Charles and Jeff; I can't remember their screen names. Nice meeting you guys. They said they were catching fish in 9' to 20' feet of water. They were fishing with blue/white jigs.

I met up with Dave (dmac) again. He started up walleye fishing then switched over to crappie around noon. As I was trolling out of the trees I passed him and pointed him to some of the trees that I was fishing. Dave, how as the crappie fishing? Did it pick up after the noon hour?

Dave sent me some pictures of his walleye and crappie from yesterday. I've attached his pic. Looks like he did pretty good.
