Little help?

Hello all, I'm planning my first crappie fishin trip to the Hot Springs area during the last week in Oct. Can anyone help me out as to which lake is best (hamilton, ouachitga, etc.) Also what is the normal water temp for that time of year? Any thoughts on a nice place to stay. Bringing my wife and boat. Hi fishawk, I was just down at Hot Springs Village fishing their lakes a week and a half ago. I got skunked bigtime. The bait shop told me the Crappie had been in around 40'. I couldn't find anything fishing two of the Villages Lakes. Jerry and Daryl are guides on Hamilton. Slabandit fishes Nimrod which is N of Hot Springs Village. I wish I could help, but clear lake fishing is not my thing. I think Jerry and Daryl mainly fish brush they have located, or put out personally. I never made it over to Quachita, or Hamillton. I will give them a try someday when I have the time and have a reason to go visit my Friend in Hot Springs Village. Good Luck!
