Went fishing with my brother in Wi. last week and caught some good fish. My largest walleye's were a 26'' and 27''. Largest cat was a 15# blue cat with a 14# on the next drift in the river. My brother caught a 18# flat head and a couple of others around 13and 14#'s. All the cats were caught drifting the Fox River in Oshkosh Wi. with a 3/8 jig and half a nightcrawler. The walleye were caught throwing crank baits and 4 were on jigs. The 3 crappie in the picture I caught on a jig and half a nightcrawler also. We also got in to some white bass the first night we ended up with 40. The weather was great some overcast days with a chance of rain and in the mid 70's. Now that I got my supply of Walleye it's time to get back to some crappie fishing.
Those are some great pics Barn. Looks like you had a good time. Sure wish you would have brought back those 70's with ya. :D
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, body used up and totally worn out screaming 'WOO~HOO what a ride!'
I brought back some thing better my 3 1/2 year old grandson. were going fishing and camping and all kind of things.
Every trip to WI is a good trip!
Nice fish, Barn Dog. Crappie on nightcrawler? Never heard of such a thing!
Nice eyes!
(Got to love that PBR, too!!)
Barn Dog, what a great mixed bag of fish! Sounds like you had a great time. Thanks for the good pix too!
Way to go Barndog. Nothing like family and fishing. Hope you have a great time with the grandson. Good age to get him started on some big MO crappie.
Look like pretty nice crappie to even setting by them long ole toothy critters.
