    Default truman lake

my 10yr old son and i got back yesterday from our annual father's day fishing trip. went truman lake for the first time staying at bucksaw lodge. hired richard bowling for a half day of fishing on saturday. what a great guy and my son had a blast. we fished up stream from the marina and we got into them. fished minnows mostly 10ft down in about 15ft of water. my son managed a 15" crappie for the big one. all the fish came from cedars. could not buy one around the hedges. we managed to catch some drum and i told richard i would promote him as a drum guide. the fish were finicky wanting small minnows and most of the strikes you just saw the line twitch. richard is a great guy and would hire him again.
