    Default Current in lakes?

When there is enough discharge / power generation to create a discernible current is it a help or a hindrance? Have experienced it with most of the area lakes at times but upper Bull Shoals, Truman, Pomme, Lake Ozark, and even Stockton at night come to mind most. Every time get to thinking I've got it figured out then get thrown a curve. Whats your opinion?

    Default Just My 2 Cents

If I Put A 1/16 Oz Jig Down Say 8 To 10' And It Starts Heading Down Stream And I Am Close To The Main Channel I Know I Am In Trouble.... Usually Go To The Back Of Coves And Have A Little Better Luck......... Mostly Just Depends On How Much They Are Letting Out, And Then Sometimes It Doesn't Seem To Matter, Like U Said Hard To Figure Out........

I posted the exact question on IDOFISHING.COM, (its a walleye site) and the replies I got made sense. They told me to look for "the seam" where the current met slack water. Fishing below the dam at Truman, when they are letting out water, you can see an obvious seam where the two meet. The theory is fish just the edge of the seam since the fish will be there to get out of the current, and let the current wash them food. I have tried it below the dam and it does work. I hope this makes sense to you. If not, let me know and I'll try to explain further. Jack

I second what jackb said regarding below Truman dam. We sit in that transition spot where the current meets the slackwater. In the eddie currents.
