    Default I got to break in the Pinwheel

    After some chores and getting the grand kids home for day my fishing buddy and me decided to take the boat out and drown some bait. The bite was off at one of our usual spots so I move further up the creek into some slower moving water and things picked up.

    I really like this rod, a lot. It has a very nimble feel and an nice bend when you have a fish on. The handle, which I think is one of the prettiest handles I have ever had on a rod is perfect for my old fat pork chop hands. While I got this one to use as a creek float rod,but yesterday I used it just like I used the Majorcraft on the previous trip. I fish my favorite shell cracker rig which is a hook and splitshot bumped along the bottom. To me, the sensitivity is awesome given the short length and slightly (very slightly) heavier weight on the pinwheel. I found it a geat pairing with the Luvias Airity and over all it was a very pleasant set up to fish all day with, even though we were only out a couple of hours.

    Also, I promise I am not trying to catch the darn green fish. Honestly, I have never seen them this frequently and this healthy in this creek. They are a hoot on these UL JDM rigs though.

    If anyone would like to see the action it is right here;

    That’s the right size for these rods we use. A good fight but not too long. Glad you had a good time with it.
