    Default Japanese hook question

What company makes number 6 size crappie hooks from Japan? I have been using Decoy jigs for years now and they are extremely sharp. Is there a company over there that makes a long shank crappie hook like we have here in the states?

Check out company Orient Sun. I found some of the jig hooks on ebay some years back and really liked them. Ended up buying a couple thousand in three sizes. Thin wire and sharp. Still have a few hundred left.

Do they make these style hooks/sizes? These are size 6, long shank hooks that I use here on Lake Barkley for redear and bluegill.

Daiichi makes the aberdeen hooks. I use the #2 from Mustad for my crappie rigs. Here's a link for you. Daiichi are good hooks along with Gamakatsu hooks. Both are Japanese.

Daiichi hooks are no longer a Japanese brand. Ranger Outdoors acquired them a few years back. Most of their hooks are no longer made in Japan. They use the term “Global Locations” when describing where their hooks are made. You might luck up and get a Daiichi hook made in Japan but in all likelihood it came from China.
