According to the Palms website Pinwheel / ピンウィール |PALMS | 株式会社パームス it is an UL rod. I think you will find your Aji Do rod much more sensitive as the Aji Do weighs considerably less than the Palms. Be interesting to hear your thoughts between the two rods.

You are both correct, it is in fact an UL rod, which I am very happy with, but I will admit I have no idea where I get it in my head that it was a L action. I also notice the weight difference in the specs but to the hand (at least mine lol) it is very negligible.

I will certainly give my thoughts between the two rods, hopefully here soon as I am chomping at the git to go fishing for the next two days.

This is proving to be a very nice rod. I got a chance to take it out again today and every time I fish with I like it more and more. It is so well balanced and while I would say that the Majorcraft Ai-Do edges it out on sensitivity, it is not by much. Honestly both of these rods could be two of the best investments in tackle I have made. I know folks will say that you can catch just as many of the same fish on a $29 Wal-Mart combo that you can on these rigs, but there really is a difference. Just in the shear enjoyment they give in the catching, but also in the fact that If you can feel more bites and get a quicker reaction time on the hookset, you]re going to catch more fish.
