Default Need help finding a reel

Long story short I got a rod custom made from Indonesia and I really like it but I am having trouble finding a reel to match up with it. My smallest JDM reel is the Shimano Soare 500 size and it looks big still yet. I have toyed with maybe an inline ice fishing reel? The rod is 4’4” and is very whippy. No clue what I’ll use it for but my first thought was wild trout in very small streams. I would need to cast so to say as I would likely underhand cast and maybe jig a mini trout magnet or something similar. Any thoughts? Doesn’t have to be JDM at all and I would prefer it to slightly match the rod. I hope all is well for everyone. Some pics to see what I am talking about.

I have a Tica Cetus SE500 on a 4'7" white fiberglass rod and it seems size appropriate but I don't know if it's any smaller than your Soare. Heavier than the Soare(what isn't), but built like a tank with 6 ball bearings and comes with an extra metal spool. It's about 3.5" from the toe to the top of the spool as well as 3.5" from the foot to the far edge of the frame. Stainless finish looks good with a white rod(has to be the SE model). Good news is it will only set you back $70 on Amazon.

Hard to beat the Soare 500 IMO in weight and quality.
    Cool looking rod .

Most ice fishing spinning reels are about the same size from what I’ve seen .

This has spincast underspin written all over it. I know there is one JDM brand that makes a high end spincast reel ill have to do some research to find it. Not sure if they make a smaller size one though. Im sure there are some quality spincast out there besides that though and I think it would fit aesthetically and work great functionally for what you want to use it for

Thank you all and sorry for the late response. Still not sure which route I’m going on a reel for this rod.

Very cool handle. I think the reel you have on it would be fine. Anything you hook with it would be fun.

I ended up buying a 500 Shimano Nasci and it looks pretty good on the rod. Still haven’t had a chance to test it out but I will very soon.
