    Default New Addition

If you watch victors videos, you may have seen him using a Soare high gear that he said he’d sell. I was in the first few to watch and shot him a email right quick. As luck smiled on me, I wound up with it. Got it today and put it on my 6’6” Fenwick 1 piece UL build, and I’m officially excited waiting to use it. Like he did, it will be my float rod and it wears a small Wazp slip float between two stops. I’m going to keep this up and I’m going to have to thin the herd.

That is awesome! I just watched that video last night and thought hard about seeing what he wanted for it. Thank you for saving my hyde and keeping me from having to sneak another reel in the house

He seems to fish at Marrow Bone lake quite a bit. I go there from time to time and have often thought it would be neat to run into him. I have become a fan of him over the last year, and my fear would be that in real life he would be a huge jerk and hate people approaching him.

    Congrats Tim !
Those are sweet reels , I have the slow speed 2000s and a couple 500s .
My favorite reel Shimano makes .
I prefer them over my Daiwa Presso Lt 1000 .
Although I did spend today with my Presso .

He’s not a jerk for sure. We met up at a restaurant in Murfreesboro almost 2 years back before I moved here. Actually it was 1st part of September in 2022. He wanted me to meet his family. After we met he and I had a big lunch…which he kindly paid for. Then I told him of all my spots…times… so on and so forth. We have kept in touch since I got here. We were just texting today about Trout Magnets. He is very big on aesthetics. He wants reels to match his rod color. Really even his line color should match up…LOL. While I’m particular about putting the Trout Magnet on a jig head I’ve never seen anyone do so with meticulous attention Victor does. If you fish at Nickajack, Old Hickory, and Bedford Lake you may run into him.

    Regards

I’ll tell you what’s sad for me. I lived in Manchester for ten years and didn’t discover just how deep the UL bug had bitten me and now there’s lots of folks in my fishing circle that live in the area I left. The wife and I both love TN and may go back one day and this is one of the reasons I’d do that with a smile. The fishing is as good there as it is here.

I've only been to Manchester for 2 things: shooting highpower rifle matches at a Tullahoma AEDC (Tenn NG) base range, and going to Bonnaroo music fest (once as spectator/camper and a couple other times as guitar tech/engineer).
