Excited to be associated with Forest Lures out of Japan. I have been using their spoons for a while now and they are a great lure. They make the number one selling trout spoon used in Japan and many other parts of the world. Up until a couple of months ago I was scouring the web stores in Japan to restock my small supply of Forest spoons. About that time received an email from the marketing manager of Forest. He wanted to know would I be interested in showcasing their lures as they are thinking about coming to the US market. Told him I would be more than happy to as I use these lures a lot when on the river. Won’t have to worry about restocking now as they are sending me 202 of their lures! Will now be able to showcase their broad product range. This took a while to get all the particulars worked out as it was not just a simple matter of "Ok we sending you some lures". They asked very detailed questions about how I fished. Wanted to know what lines I use...what rods.....what is max depth of water I will be fishing when river is at high flow....how shallow will water be when fishing no flow. Do I fish any areas that require barbless hooks. What size trout is the norm for me to catch. They needed that info to select which lures for me to use. I was impressed with that. The smaller spoons they are sending will also catch bluegill no doubt...as well as bass. It was mentioned that I might try these for crappie but I told them I am not sure they would be a good bait for crappie but I will give it a try. Life is good!
