I hope you tied a rope around your waist so someone can pull you back out of the rabbit hole. LOL like you, I build my own and haven’t pulled the trigger on a JDM rod yet but maybe one day. Hope you enjoy the new setup, it sure looks good.

I don't know if you build rods for yourself as a hobby or for "fun and profit" lol, but I will tell you this. I don't know if Majorcraft is the Berkley, Shakespear, Southbend (insert whatever bargain/entry level brand you want) of JDM rods or a middle of the road brand or what, but there is no way, and I mean NO WAY, I could ever (at my skill level) build a rod this perfect, this well balanced, this flawless, this light, this sensitive...the list goes on and on....for what I paid for this rod. I have got to fish with it yet but every day since I have had it I just hold it for a while and look at it. I promise you this, if you ever take the leap you will save custom builds for special occasions and gifts for friends and family lol. There is just nothing like it on our market.
Thanks skeetbum thanked you for this post

Note that once the shipment hits USA, you can use the EMS tracking number on the USPS website to track the rest of the way.

Enjoy the rod! I'd bet it won't be your last JDM rod. I might know a little about that.

Hey Jawja, it’s been a minute.

I build for myself and friends and have done some work outside my circle. Just sold one last week and the guy got a 26” redfish and a 24” black drum on the first trip with it. He never quit smiling. Most folks are happy with store bought rods and that’s OK. Mine just have a personal touch and flex on the spline so they feel better than most. I’ve handled some JDM and I agree, I can’t do work to that level.
