    Default UL Spinning Reel Recommendation

I am looking for a low retrieve rate spinning reel size 1000. Is there anything you guys recommend between the price range of the shimano vanquish with a 21.6”/55cm retrieve rare and the centaur c10 with 22.6” retrieve rate that’s at or under 6 oz? Basically, looking for a reel that is under 23” retrieve rate to slow retrieve mini jigs that is cheaper than the vanquish since it’s out of budget at the moment.

I was looking at the Piscifun carbon X II at 5.5 oz and 22.4 inch retrieval rate.

    Thank you in advance.

Welcome from Central Florida to start things off. You probably already know that there’s lots to choose from. You might look into the President XT which has done well for me and can be found for about $80 or less on sale. Friend just bought one for $60.

The Pfluger President XT has served me well. Any of the top reel manufacturers makes a very serviceable reel. I’ll pay extra for a reel with a quality drag setup

Daiwa Legalis is a winner. Very nice for the money.

    Thank you, for the question.
i too am looking for a 4.3 ratio reel. I have a couple old shimano 500 Sedona reels , but the handle knobs are so small. The ratio is perfect for my style roadrunner- curly tail grub fishing.
