Oh wow, that's embarrassing lol! I was thing about those rods, but I just hate the way they look, I guess I will have to settle for the performance of those rods. On a side note. You and i_fish are what inspired me to take up UL fishing and delve into JDM rods. Just wanted to thank you for that and for your YouTube video content!

I have the RZA61-LT and the RZA62UL. When I pick up either of those rods and give them a thorough look over, the first thing that comes to mind is that these rods are of heirloom quality. The craftsmanship and aesthetics will rival some of the finest American made fly rods. The cork, real seat, coatings, and guides are all superior. The 61-LT is what I would call a moderate fast action rod. It has a nice bend with about any fish and is a pleasure to fish with. I don't know that I would call it parabolic, but the accidental too large of fish will test that assumption. With it's softer tip section and larger grip, It is definitely not on the high end of sensitivity, but some .3 Varivas braid will help with that. As far as twitching a trout magnet, that is about all I've used while fishing these rods. Personally, I haven't noticed any issues with TM's but I do tend to favor the LT over the UL, the LT has a little stiffer tip and a little more back bone.

I would second the suggestion of the Daiwa Presso Air AGS 5'10 xul rod if you are looking for a shorter rod with a true parabolic action, that is a BLAST to fish with. It takes a little while to get used to the feather light weight of these rods, but once so, they are hard to put down. I fished with one most of this season and caught some really large fish with it, the biggest being an 8.44lb carp. Fantastic components packed into the utmost of simplicity.

As far as sensitivity goes, I have yet to fish a rod that tops the Shimano Soare xr rods. They look awesome, but they are a true fast action rod and far from parabolic. I love to fish with them but the fast action can be kind of annoying at times.

These are just my opinions, ymmv.

Is the tenryu that much faster than the daiwa? In all honesty, I would probably sacrifice some sensitivity and performance of the rod of the tenryu over the daiwa simply based on how much I love the looks of the tenryu. Thank you so much for such a detailed response! If you happen to have a picture of the tenryu under load would you be able to share it? Thanks again!

Thanks for the kind words. The TenRyu are really something when it comes to quality. I have the Rayz Spectra for trout fishing in streams and it is something to behold. Had I not just purchased a new home, new boat, I would be buying a new rod each month to review but needless to say only so much money available. And so many rods are just not available right now.

    Regards

I'll see what I can do as far as pictures, I'm not around my rods now but will be this weekend :-) I think the Tenryu would be faster than the Daiwa but not by much, the Tenryu still has plenty of bend to it.

I know it’s not currently available, but I have been told by two JDM vendors in Japan that they expect to get shipments of Abu Eradicator Realfinesse model after first of the year. Of course no promise on that from any of them! Truth is they just don’t know and Abu won’t commit to any date it seems.

That being said, the 6’7” Slow Taper Special Eradicator Realfinesse could be about perfectly described with the words you’re using to describe what rod you’re looking to find. I know there were quite a few emembers who picked one up based on Alphahawk or mine or many others recommendation here, maybe one of them has fallen out of love and would be willing to sell theirs.

What two vendors? Did you receive any update on an ETA?
