Quick question on the hook being on top of the swivel? Do you use anything to secure the hook to the swivel or can it freely move up and down the line? I drop shot a lot earlier in the year and might give this a shot. Thanks for sharing.

It starts as an "open eye" hook. When you squeeze the eye (with it between loop and body of swivel) the eye is then too small to slip back over the loop and will stay on the swivel

That’s exactly it. I’ll try to get a better picture tonight after work. It can’t go anywhere except where it is because the barrel of the swivel and the eye of the swivel are both larger than the now closed off eye of the hook.

I just got a batch of swivels in the mail and have some tied up bunny buster hooks ready to be made into drop shots, I’ll see if I can put them in my vise and get good assembly step by step.

One note I don’t think I mentioned yet, I choose the top of the swivel for the hook location because I FEEL like it makes the swivel less seen/known. But I’m also pretty sure that bunk and I’m just fooling myself. They either gonna care about the swivel or they won’t.

Sorry guys. I didn’t realize the hook eye was open. That makes perfect sense and I understand now. Cool rig and thanks for sharing.
