I have the Presso, great reel. You can also get a Zenon for under $250 and depending on model, $220. Which is better? That’s not easy to answer. I love both but love the Daiwa brand. Have not had any issues with either reel. Both are made in China. When I look in my reel case I have a few Abu’s but a lot of Daiwa’s? So I guess if I really had to pick I would go with the Presso.

    Regards

    Which size?

The 1000 and 2000 seem virtually identical, except the 2000 is slightly bigger.

    Any other differences I'm missing?

You are correct. I have the 1000. The 2000 will take in 25 inches per one turn and the 1000 will take in 21 inches. I prefer the slower reel. Both reels have a 4.9 ratio but the slightly larger spool takes in 4 more inches per crank.

    Regards
