Abu Garcia Rod tip vs power Rating
Did some measurements for how much the rod tip moves in inches when loaded with different weights for my Abu Garcia rods. The Nano and CEX are Carabus models both with a solid tip, MB is Mass Beat III, these three are all considered area trout rods. I don't know what the Diplomat X is designed to be used for but the UL rating is way out of line compared to the area trout rods.

I was a little surprised at how close the Carabus UL and MB3 L matched up for the first 4 oz of weight.

I was surprised how close to being an UL the Abu Garcia MB3 light was the first time I used it .
In my opinion, it’s more of an UL than most US domestic UL rods .
I’m comparing it to rods such as the 6’ St Croix Avid Panfish , and the 6’ SC Panfish and the Trout series .
Definitely more of an UL compared to a 6’6” and 7’ 13 Fishing UL.

BTW , I also own the two piece 6’ and the 6’3” Abu Garcia MB 3 UL rods .
The 6’3” UL is pretty close to the 4 piece Travel rod , the 6’ is slightly more UL .

Looks like the 6' UL comes with a solid tip.
The 6'3" shows it has more fiberglass than all the other models. 8% vs 2 or 3% for the other models.
