    Default Making micro jig heads

    I think I’ve found me a hook .
    It’s a Mustad Ultra Point 90 degree bend jig hook . I’m using a size 10 .
This hook feel sharper than the new Alpha point to me .
I’ve made a few using slotted tungsten 4mm beads using UV glue .
Using the Alpha point hooks I used cyclops beads and had trouble with the bead sliding up the hook after a little use .
I’m hoping using the slotted beads will fix that issue .
But it’s not a fast method of building jigheads .
I’ve made a couple with a size one splitshot squeezed onto the jig hook . Not as pretty as the tungsten beads but a lot easier and quicker to build .
I just hold the splitshot with needlenose pliers, align with the hook , and squeeze.
Makes a pill head looking jighead . Going to try them this Friday morning I hope .
