Default Looking at the light side!

Weather been bearable these couple evenings so I thought going out for a few casts seeing what will turn up. Tackling a local man-made lake with my lightest outfit yet: Abu Eradicator 5-10 (1.9oz) and a '14 Shimano Stella fit with Stradic ci4+ spare spool lined with Varivas Lemoni 2.3lb Ester line. Dropshotting fly and top water mini crank yielded 20 with mostly green sunfish. Name: Screenshot_20230805_185113_Gallery.jpg

Glad to hear that you got a break from the heat and we’re able to go. That’s a great looking outfit, I’ve always liked the aesthetics of the Abu rods. Those fish have some nice colors. I’ll be going in just a little while, coffee just finished cooking. Wish me luck, I’ll post later…….

That pic looks like my kind of luck. It seems like the bigger fish are at the back end of the bunch.

Looks like a pleasant outing. Glad you were able to get out.

I agree, Skeet, on the Abu's look. Though I had to drop 50 big one in the form of a spare spool just to match her up nicely...lol.

It sure does look good, worth the effort and cost. I looked at some spare spools, you got off easy at $50. The only difference between my Regal 1000 and 1000s is the spool and the price jumped from $60 to over $200. I found mine for about $125. I found some to be just cust prohibitive.
