    Thanks skeet thats good advice, I hadn't thought about the spools rubbing together. I have some dense foam that we use at work for shadowing the tools in our tool boxes. I'll use some of that to cut out spots for the spools, will probably make spots for 5 or 6 spools in the case depending on how they fit.

    Default Reel case and spare spool holder

    I originally got the blue medium fishpond reel case for my 3 reels but would have liked a little more room in there.

    I exchanged it for the next size up which is a large. The case closes comfortably and I have some room in there for a few spools of line and some plastics/jigs.

    fishpond has some great looking accessories. The reel case is well constructed and it appears very sturdy. I’m looking at some of their back/sling packs.
