Thread: I’d planned on ordering…….

I’d planned on ordering a Shimano Soare XR c2000spg this month and if they made a 1000 size Soare , maybe I would have.
But after fishing my Soare BB c20000spg today , I didn’t see any advantage to using the bigger spool over what I like , and that’s small 500 size reels .
Since I already had a Soare XR 500spg , the other reel I had considered was the Shimano Vanford 500 .
I found a place today that I’d done business with before, that had the Vanford 500 for $229 and didn’t have to charge me sales tax , since they don’t do major business in my state . Saved me another $20 .
So , I satisfied the tackle monkey and ordered a Vanford 500 today .
The only bad reviews I’d read were they thought the reel was overpriced , because the 500 lacks some of the features the 1000 and larger Vanfords come with .
I would have ordered it from Digtaka , but the c2000s is the smallest Vanford they carry .

I’ll get to compare the Vanford with the Soare XR when it gets here next week .
