    Default Possible rod repair question

Guys, I broke a st.croix premier ul 6’ at the butt section right at the reel .
seat. No damage to the reel seat . I can see the blank, was thinking maybe possible to repair using another rod to slide into blank and glue. Install new cork.
    is that something worth while.
sure loved the rod, I backed my Jeep over it.

Could you post a close up picture of the handle so guys can get a look at the nature of the damage? Skeetbum and others on here do rod building. The might be able to help out.

    Is it still under warranty?
I had a SC Panfish rod that got broken into four pieces while in the back of my truck when it got totaled for me last year .
St Croix replaced it for $50 and all I did was send pictures of the broken butt section . I told them how it got broken .
I’ve had two rods replaced by SC , this one and a new 5’6” Triumph that the tip snapped when I lined it up and pulled on the line to check the bend .
Took awhile because they were waiting on a shipment from their Mexico factory . Finally ended up sending me a complete rod .

Your idea of the repair seems good to me. Finding the right insert piece would be the issue. I would remove the bottom of the butt jus a little bit and begin the insert there. Not a hard fix. Best I can tell you right now is do t use 5 minute epoxy but 30 minute would give you a good working time. I think you’ll fish that rod again.
