Well , today I may have found one .
    It’s made by KastKing, I think it’s a new . It’s called Destron Super Braid .
    6# is .11mm .
I purchased some this week and spooled some onto a Daiwa Legalis LT 1000s and paired it with a 6’ Daiwa Trout X XUL rod .
My lure was a size 12 streamer hook with a 4.0mm tungsten bead with a trout magnet body to begin with , but later I switched to a Bobby Garland Itty Bit Swim’r .
I was surprised at how far I could cast the tiny bait . I believe it’s farther than I was getting with my 2# Floroclear.
Sensitivity went up . I could feel every little nip and when a little gill grabbed it , I thought it was a lot bigger than it turned out to be . .
I experienced zero wind knots or issues with this braid .
After a few fish , I switched rods and put the braid on my 5’ St Croix Avid ULF and got the same distance I was getting with the 6’ rod .
I finished fishing the morning with the Avid with the braid .
The little fish drove me crazy as I could feel a lot of nips that I wouldn’t have with the Floroclear.
I did experience more fish coming off than I usually do , but that could be just a bad day of hookups . A lot of them were small crappie and the braid may have contributed to their early release .
    I’ll keep experimenting with it
    I used a 6’ leader of 4# Floroclear.
Best fighter was the little shellcracker.
Which rod is the one pictured with the red hook keeper at the bottom and the gold banding near the handle? That is a gorgeous fishing rod.

That is a Daiwa Trout X XUL . It’s an entry level JDM Daiwa rod .
The black and gold comes in a 5’6” and a 6’ model .
I also have one in a an UL version .

Do you have an Iprimi and what do you think of it? You always show some pretty rigs. The Iprimi caught my eye while snooping.

I have two Iprimi rods .
The 5’6” XXUL that most folks talk about .
To me It’s too whippy. It’s not a swimming rod . It would probably be a good rod to put braid on and fish hardbaits with . Spoons and Roostertails .
The other is a 6’ XUL travel rod . I bought it thinking it might be a little more versatile, with a little more backbone. It is , slightly less whippy . It’s not a jig swimming rod either.
Others may disagree with me , but that’s the way I see them .

Thanks chaser. I knew I’d heard talk of them before but couldn’t remember. I have one short rod that I’ll bet is rated 1-4lb line. Had a six foot blank and took it back for another 2-6 lb rod. If my little one wasn’t a pfenix blank I believe it would also be a noodle, which I don’t care for. I did find a couple of Daiwa Mini Mite reels on eBay like I had 40+ years ago. They’re more expensive than I remember. Duh. 2 bearings and made in Japan but I’m not giving $140 for a bit of nostalgia.
