I’m seldom offshore Chaser. SIL has an offshore boat but I have to pick very calm days. Knees don’t like big chop or swell. I put in just before 6 and wore my GoPro for the first time. Now to learn how to edit and post it. I made it all the way til8 o’clock and I didn’t want to go, but I didn’t want to fight this either. Panorama shot of a wall cloud, edge of the front.

I beat it to the ramp and got the boat on the trailer while I was still dry but just by a few minutes. I caught two seatrout on topwater, 16” and 20”, and I couldn’t have been happier. Clearer water than I’ve seen in a long time and the sea grass is coming back. All positive things, except the rain.

Stopped by the reel shop and got a Presso straightened out and while it could use some new bearings, it’s awful nice. From there it was home and then back to the ramp with the Presso and wash the salt out of the motor. Of course there were a few gills caught but it was tough. Back home and put things away, and this boys done. That’s a full day for me. And if you’ve never handled an Exist, you’re in for a genuine treat. Someone picked one up at the reel shop while I was there and let me fondle it. Some kinda nice fellas!! It was a 5000 and smooth like I’ve never felt before. Here’s todays gills, hope y’all had a good day. Oh yeah, no ten inch gills today.

Looks like a productive day in more ways than fishing .
Look forward to hearing about that Presso .
I bought a Shimano Soare BB C2000SPG that came yesterday.
    I fished it today .
This could be a sleeper deal for a nice reel at a heck of a deal .
A little on the heavy side at 200g , it it doesn’t feel heavy .
Wish they made these in a 1000 size .

That reel has a video for the bearing upgrade if you’re interested. And sorry for hijacking your post. Good luck with it. I’m thinking of trying the Presso on the Browning airstream. I think the bigger guides will like the bigger spool and 4 lb line I’ve spooled it up with.

And thanks Moon, they were fun. Stingy today but I started late.

It’s very smooth the way it is , maybe later on .
I forgot to mention, this reel has a 4.3/1 gear ratio , great for swimming jigs or spinners. . Makes it like a winch , no binding up on this one .
