    Default A few catches

Sunday, noon, one small Gill and then a nice Crappie on a little Slender Spoon to put first catches on a new Majorcraft Finetail 4'10" Glass.
Tuesday, noon again, down at the creek and caught a dozen or so Smallies, mostly all little ones today. The pic is of the nicest one landed which hit a weedless Slider. Lost two good fish earlier on jumps.(Reflexes slowing)

    gillchaser,
Nice feel/looks to it and casts are very accurate, the new glass seems somewhat stiffer to me than the 60's-70's ultralight glass rods I have. Not much time on it, but then there is not much not to like about a cool little rod like this. Nerve problems I have been having with numbness makes it kind of hard to answer questions on rods/reels.
Have not been able to get out much and when I do it sure is nice to feel that tug on the other end.

I was thinking it’d make a nice spinner rods for small Roostertails and size 0 beetlespins.

    gillchaser,
I would think small spinners/spoons would be right up the alley of this rod. If you go to Majorcraft's Japan website hit translate to English then under freshwater rods, there is some good info on all of their rods. These rods are listed under Finetail Trout (stream grass spinning) and not under the stream models?

That rods got the looks. Nice crappie and I’m jealous of two dozen smallies. They make any trip worth it. Glad to see you getting out.

Was checking out the MC Finetail glass spinning rod again and ran across this post and noticed it’s been awhile since we’ve had a post from moonrunner .
I know he was having issues and pray he’s doing ok .
    Take care my friend .
