    Default Pegboard Setup is Finished!

Took me longer than I thought due to the injury to my leg but it is complete. It holds UL lures that have proven to me to catch tons of bluegill, crappie, and trout. I have the best UL lines in PE…..nylon, and Ester….all made by Varivas. After counting today I have a years supply left of what I consider to be the best jig heads made…Daiwa Gekkabijin in 1.5 gram. Now I have several years left of Daiwa Gekkabijin in the 1 and 0.5 gram. But the 1.5 gram is my go to weight. My supply of Trout Magnets are virtually unlimited. I have a good supply of Decoy single replacement hooks for my trout lures. It has taken a while to acquire all this and finally to have a proper place to store it all. Now I can take inventory of my tackle bag and just by glancing up can find an item I may need to restock the bag. No more going though boxes. I can now move my work benches back in place and get the rest of the shop set up. I have a rod rack that holds all my current collection and a reel case that holds almost my current collection. Soon everything will be in its proper place with plenty of room. There is only one thing left to put in my 25X30 shop…a boat! This past week I attended the final of the Supreme-Shawnee Trout Boat Owners Tourney in Pangburn on the LittleRed River. I met the Supreme Boats plant manager. He informed me they will have in production by July an 18X60 trout boat. That is right up my alley. They have a 21X60 boat already but I just did not want a 21 foot boat…and their 16X48 was too narrow for me. So in all likelihood the 18X60 will be my boat….probably late July. I have spent the past 8 months waiting on my house, and all that goes with that, to be done. Well it is all finally complete. It is time for me to get back to fishing.

    Regards

Wow, that looks better than most stores! Very very nice Randy. Sounds like you’ve got it figured out now and have a good idea about boat. Looking forward to seeing what you get. Thanks for sharing

That will do!! I wish I had a wall to do that with. I usually have a hard time seeing the top of my workbench. Very nice.

Beautiful setup, Randy. I know you were thinking you were done with boats, but if you’re up to it it does open up a lot of possibilities for you.

That's a beautiful setup. You mentioned Pangburn, that was always the fall back place when they fired up the generators at the dam. Me and my buddy would fly fish downstream from the swinging bridge (Barnett access) when water conditions allowed, but if the water started rising we'd drive to the Pangburn bridge and fish downstream from it. I haven't caught many browns down that way, but had some memorable days catching rainbows on dry flies there.

    Very nice.

Nice setup. I’m embarrassed about how much tackle I have. My jig and fly tying desk and wall covers a six by ten foot section of a wall. My tackle boxes and rods take up a six foot by twelve foot room. Then my moulds, lead and pots take up a shelf in my shop.
