Default First creek fish of the year

Storm coming in for weekend, I was wading at 6am for my first trip to the creek this year. Temp was 46 and water was 51.
I used a custom BFS rod made by McFarland and built by Shane Gray. Shimano Aldebaran 22 BFS reel, with Suffix 832 6lb braid.
    1/16 oz Z-man chatterbait.

Sky was overcast and no wind on the creek.

Got 22 Smallmouth, largest was 18", 2 this size. 4 at 16". Left cellphone at home. Used camera that stays in the car.

    Was a great peaceful day on the waterby myself.Name: CIMG5987 - Copy.JPG

Very nice catches, and the creek looks like a real nice place to fish.

Now THAT is a morning that I’d remember with a smile for a long time. Great spot and some very nice fish. Glad to hear of someone getting a day like that.
