Beautiful jigs! Thanks for sharing your insights
I bought some of these in a #8 and poured my own heads. They are super sharp and really stick and hold fish. The only down side is they rust really quick. Last spring I was fishing in the rain and a few drops got in my jig box, a few days later when I went fishing they were covered with rust and the hooks were brittle and broken. Had to throw out a dozen or so. From now on I'm only fishing them in dry weather. Tied these with gadwall feathers and gills have been hammering them.

Very nice
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
That's good info to know and beautiful jigs as well. I keep a silica gel pack in my jig hook box. I like to think it helps.
Great looking jigs. Sounds like even on a dry day a person wants to make sure a wet jig doesn't find its way back in the jig box.
Are you bending wire eyes for these ?
Maybe they will bite this one……
Never had that happen….come to think of it I don’t think in the years I’ve been fishing them I have had any get wet in my bag. I know I have about a years worth or so left…when they are gone I’m sure I’ll shed some tears…LOL. Amazing how fish stay buttoned up with these with only a micro barb.

I don't fish in the rain as much as I used to but on this day I lost a jig so looked for a replacement and it was raining hard enough that rain got in the box. Other jigs with black nickle sickle hooks were fine, just the Gekkabijin hooks rusted. Seen some heads on ebay but shipping costs were 5x the cost of the four pack. I'd love to find some more jig hooks if anyone has some.
looks great
