All is well in Arkansas!
Next month I’ll be 71 years old. It was a big decision to up and move out here. I came for many reasons. One of the main reasons was of course the world class trout fishing. On the Little Red you don’t go fishing…..you go catching…..LOL. Today was a fantastic day. Boated 60 quality trout in 3 hours using a Carabus Extreme 66 area trout rod strung up with some Varivas Infinity PE 5.6# test line. I tell you folks there is not much that feels better than when 16-17 inch trout hit a Forest MIU 2.8 gram abalone colored spoon on the swing in current. The pace of life out here is much slower for us and wife and I are loving it. The house is coming along at a good clip. After we get in the house I will get a new boat and find some crappie and bluegill waters also. Life is good and getting better!

Which I have learned is a good thing as we have already had to point out certain things that were not how it was supposed to be. My builder even told us to drop by often for this very reason. The Little Red is a lot of fun. Anytime I went for awhile without a bite, I knew it was time to change flies. It almost doesn't seem possible not to have some fish within casting distance in that place.
