It’s actually very simple. But here is something even more easy to understand. Varivas America…a site sponsor….is having a fall sale. Some very good discounts on a premium line.

FALL SALE: Save 25%~35% off all orders. Sept 23 ~ Oct 2. - VARIVAS

When it comes to mono I choose my lines based on diameter and not by the lb test on the spool. For my ultralights 3# Maxima is used mostly and has a diameter of 0.15 mm. I bring this up because it isn't on the chart. Found and unused spool of 4 # Kastking in my fishing closet and it has a diameter of 0.14 mm, thinner than 3# Maxima and 2# SOS. Thought it would break pretty easy with the diameter but was really strong so I'm putting it on a reel today and test out tomorrow.
