Nice ties, I have been doing the same with the black fingernail polish and find no difference in my catch rate between those and the glow color.
So recently Plat has stock in these jig heads in the "Glow" color, I was able to place a sizable order for the 1 and 1.5 gram #8 and #10 hook jigs. A bottle of black fingernail poilish is fairly cheap, and then you can easily convert the glow to black - but I don't. I catch just as many on these glow-color as the black. Oh, I cleaned them out of 1.5g #10, but was able to get 10 pack boxes (40 jigs) on my favorite sizes.
What I have been told by the Japanese folks who HAVE replied to me is, Daiwa is still making the jigs in glow and red glow color, albeit at a reduced production schedule, but has discontinued the black color production completely. PS both glow colors glow in the dark (luminescent), but you have to go into a completely dark closet or room to see it. Only the top half of the "glow" color glows, and the new red glow color the whole head glows red (but looks white in the daylight). So evidently a lot of ajing anglers cast at night and the glow works better. I ran out of the black ones last year, except for a few hoarded packs, but have been catching a lot of good fish on the Glow color. Just as many, I'd agree.
The hook on these jigs is second to none. Ir really is "scary" sharp, and I've had to yank one out of my thumb being careless. I have also begun hand-tying on these heads, and they WORK AMAZING. Fool's gold chenille with chartreuse yellow feather is the bomb in stained water or at night.
Order while you can. I would surmise that Daiwa is still running a production batch now and then on these colors, and you have to check regularly at the usual suspects, and jump on them when you can. Happy jumping!

If you cast it they will come.jawjatek LIKED above post
Great read. Folks who have never used a hook like the Saq Sas have no clue just how sharp those hooks are. I have some lures that have Saq Sas hooks. Gave a few of the lures to my host when I was out on the Little Red River. Warned him about the hooks…..one got him just taking it out of the package….. LOL.

Does Daiwa sell any other jig heads in the sizes/weight we use that have the SS hook?

There are a few others in the SW light jig head category, but I never tried them.

I have 20 packs of the 0.5g black daiwa jig heads in #6 and #8 size.
However - there were mixed together after lure box fell over. I tried to split them back up by size but you’ll have to confirm for yourself
If anyone wants them - hit me up and I’m sure we can work something out.

Disregard the above for now. Gonna hang on to them due to a cancelled order.
