Default Newbie to Ultralight rods and reels

I'd like to get a couple of recommendations for a good 6 or 7ft UL rod, reel and line in order to cast 1/32 oz jigs with good distance.

I use my 3wt flyrod most of the time but have discovered the enjoyment of fighting a big bluegill on ultralight tackle.

    Thanks.

This rod is an absolute bargain right now. It is in stock and I would hit the buy button quick if you want it. I bought this rod when it was 180 bucks and it was a great buy then....today at 135 bucks it is a steal.

Here is new Shimano Sahara model reel. In the states it is selling for around 90 bucks. The shallow spool model out of Japan is 65 bucks delivered to you door....another steal.

+1 agree on the Major Craft Finetail FAX-632SUL.
This was my first JDM rod, excellent design, especially for the current pricing.

Thanks for the heads up on the Shimano 22 Sahara C2000S reel, ordered one,,,,, the cost is only slightly more than a spare spool.

The Major Craft is a very nice rod. I bought the model like in the link. I was impressed enough that when a member was selling his UL model I bought it for my daughter in law, and ordered a second SUL for a spare in case I do something stupid and break mine.

If you are ordering a reel from Digitaka I would take advantage of the free shipping by adding a supply of line to the order. Varivas is a premium line available in PE (braid), mono, floro when ordering from digitaka it's around half the price it is in the US when you don't have to pay for shipping.
In mono twitch master is favored by some. DIGITAKA! - Japan Fishing Tackle Store
I like a hi vis line and have been using the sight edetions in both 3 and 4 lb. DIGITAKA! - Japan Fishing Tackle Store
There is also a bush edition that is orange in color that I've used. I find the green easier to see.
