Default 13 Fishing Omen UL Rod

Got a chance to weigh the rod .
Rod is 3.06oz . A little on the heavy side IMO . Most of its in the handle , but I think it’s going to add to the sensitivity of the rod .
    Paired with a Carbon X 500 reel filled with 2# P-line , it weighs 8.24oz .
Not the lightest I own , but still not bad .
    Better pictures coming.

I got to fish the rod for about twenty minutes this morning while I waited for the UPS Store to open .
The local Reservoir is close by and I made a few casts off the dock . I was casting a 1/64 jig with a 1” Slider grub.
It casts great and fells very sensitive. I could feel every little hip from the gills , but none would commit.
The rod is green in the grip area and forward for about 10-12” before changing to what looks like a raw gray unfinished color . It has a rough feel it .
That was the pro , now for the con .
I wished I hadn’t weighed the rod as I couldn’t get it out of my head that the rod was almost an ounce more than my 5’6” St Croix Premier two piece rod .
The weight is in the handle and grip , and it does make the rod more sensitive IMO , and it balances great with my lightweight Carbon X 500 reel that only weighs 5.1 ounces .
After I dropped off my return package at UPS I went home and swapped out my tackle for one of my UL flyrods before heading to the pond .
My focus at the moment is catching gills on a flyrod and can only focus on one thing at a time .

Good looking combo and we can’t always date the skinny girls. I’m betting you’ll be using it a bunch soon.
