Default Missed my shorter rods this morning

I had decided to go light today and only take a few fly boxes with flies and small jigs in my shirt pocket , a couple of snap on floats , and a towel to wipe my hands .
My hemostats and line cutter were attached to my shirt as well .
I figured if I’m going to fish float n fly , I may as well take a seven footer rod .
If the line wraps around the tip of the rod , you can’t just reach up and untangle it .
    Frustrating.
Missed the balance and especially the light weight of a five footer .
Missed not having a few plastic baits too.
But did you catch anything? You ask ?
    Three small gills !
Don’t know what’s up with the pond right now , yesterday wasn’t worth mentioning either.
This was the biggest and the smallest .
Wished I fished the dock at the reservoir, the fish are small there , but they’re usually cooperative.

Better than a skunk. Those little ones can be a challenge to catch

My wife and I always discuss how much do we want to take today?
We make the walk down to the bank and it seems that we always say "dang it we need this or that".
Well we now have a little red collapsible wagon and we take it all with us.
Kind of a pain when fishing multiple spots but we find it a great alternative on our aging legs.

PS. We look like a small conastoga wagon waiting for another camping spot but we're older folks and who cares what they think. LOL

    Good idea .
I’ve thought about using some sort of wagon .
Thought of using a walker , one of those with a seat . Outfit it with rod holders .
A wagon would probably be better . Add a milk crate like Kayakers use with rod holders .

I’m with Jack too, beats wishin. I’ve seen some decked out all aluminum wagons for bridge and sea wall fishing in the salt water here so nothing anyone could come up with would surprise me. Anything to make the trip easier is a good idea. I often think about a small backpack but I haven’t bank fished in a long time so the idea quickly dies, even faster when I see how proud some of the makers are of them.
