Default First fish on the Lunakia

Left work early today to take the boat out for the first time this year. When I got home the rod had been delivered. Put the reel on and walked over to the pond. This little blue gill volunteered to have his pic take with the new rod.Name: 20220413_173949.jpg

Thoughts on rod? I recognize that reel First fish on the Lunakia. What line is that?

Only caught the one fish so far. Had to quit fishing to help my cousin with some dog training. First thoughts are is feels light as a feather. Line is .2 PE Varivas Area Super Trout. Had the reel out on the boat today on a 7.5' ESP rod. Going back to the pond to play some more after I get some supper.

This is the line on the reel. I caught 2 more small blue gill. They aren't very cooperative tonight, had to put a trout magnet bobber on to keep the 1/64 jig up. They were hitting the bobber more than the jig.

The combo cast a light jig very well. Looking forward to fishing this set up for crappie. Attachment 424606

Congrats on the new rod, zepeka! The Lunas are something special. I finally got my first fish of the season yesterday bank fishing my little creek. 4 went for a bison TM under the Ez float in the panfish size. It was good to get the season going again. Like yours mine were on the small side but coloring up nicely.

Thanks everyone. I'm really looking forward to catching some crappie with this rod. I'm a little amazed at how it feels so different just holding it in your hand compared to my other equipment.

Alphahawk great YouTube channel you have, your channel is the most useful info I could find in English on JDM rods and reels. I've found myself watching some of the videos a couple of times because I didn't catch all the insight the first time.
