Sorry to hear, but you have the right philosophy. With these rods it is bound to happen every now and again. It can be fixed.

Saw the video, was definitely a small fish. Hate that happened to a great rod, must have been a weak place in that area. Maybe get another top section?

That's almost exactly how I broke my Tict RP-69-SiS: first day out with it, I was netting a small bass, not boat-lifting, and it snapped just like yours. I just ponied-up and bought a new tip section, and didn't try to deal with the vendor/mfr. I am convinced there was a factory/shipping defect in that section, as the new one has taken everything I can throw at it and remained intact. Your rod had to have a defect there, and I hope you get the rod back in action.

What reel and line were you running on the rod?
Thanks for the comments guys...the vendor is going to make it right. Might take 4-8 weeks to get one made but I can wait.
