Anyone here also use spincast gear? I have spinning and baitcasters but sometimes I enjoy the simplicity of a spincast setup. I’ve got a Zebco micro 33 and a Pflueger trigger spin.

I have some trigger spins set up for the wife to use. I grab one up every once in a while. Nothing better when a fella is targeting bream in my opinion

I have a couple of Zebco Omega Pro Z2’s for when I get frustrated with my BFS baitcasters . But at 9.5oz , they’re a little heavy , but are a smooth reel .

I was wondering what rod you use with your Zebco Omega Pro Z2’s.I like to use
my Z2 for cold weather fishing when I have to wear gloves. Thanks for any info.
I have several ultralight casting rods I swap back and forth with BFS and baitcasting reels loaded with six pound line .
A couple are custom rods built on ultralight spinning blanks . One is a five footer I just got off Amazon for around $30 . It seems to be a nice rod , took about three or four weeks from China . I have a couple of Daiwa fiberglass UL rods I use too .
I began my fishing with a Zebco 33 . I used these spooled with six pound line for bass fishing , but have always had some kind of UL spinning outfit .
I used the 33’s for several years . We’d trick them out , slicking up the drags on them .

Wife hooked a bridge piling one night. Set the hook hard, rod bent, drag on the little reel screaming as she cranked that handle at a heart pumping pace. The men on the other end of the bridge were off their respective rocks , on their feet cheering her on. I walked behind her and told her she was hooked on the bridge. She put some slack in the line, the glow float popped up to the surface and floated free. You could hear the air leave those two fellas as they said awe it broke off. The legend still persist of that auburn haired woman that lost a world record crappie late one cold night at that North Alabama creek of mud.

She put on a show. She also caught her first crappie that night. A very solid 14" fish that was thick
