    Randy with that Rod being that rigid, ester line wouldn’t work well with this Rod correct? You would have to depend solely on the reel drag.

    Those rods are designed to be fished with ester….FC……and PE. I’ve read a lot of articles where many will only use ester for Ajing fishing. They say FC has too much stretch to get a hook set on the fish. I would love to see someone fishing for horse mackerel. From all I’ve read you have to have good gear….and good reflexes to get a hook in one. Keep in mind those rods are designed to catch a fish that averages about 7 inches. Evidently it is tough to detect the bite of one….thus the need for ultra sensitive rods and short lines.
