Back in the winter, I bought a 2nd 6’7” Eradicator and immediately put it away when it arrived. It’s sitting in my closet inside 2” PVC pipe.
When the music stops and these aren’t made anymore/available for sale/I break my current one, I’ll have another to fall back on. Silly purchase maybe? However, it’s such a fun fishing rod, I think it’ll be worth it in the end.

Here's a fish I caught on my 6'7" Eradicator slow taper special. I've since added a Theta 2000 reel with premium braid. It handled this catfish very well !
Good to see this thread heating up again...
Received my Gamakatsu Luxxe Yoihime Ten S52UL-solid – newest addition made on Toray's M40X blanks. This rod is like no other in my collection, 33 g of joy with something I've never seen before in ajing or mebaring rods – the solid tip itself has extra-fast taper. The last inch of the tip or so is super delicate at 0.55 mm. The rod bends like there is no splicing or joint connection, one smooth curve. I'll post after I spend more time with it.
Strange, i just got a luxxe hana 6’3” UL today also. Did not realize gamakatsu rods have a following. The rod is just as you described and JDM TH has them at the new lower price, about $100 less than last year. I built a matagi 5’6” that came in at 33 grams but the matagi blank has more whip to it, but still a nice light rod. What reel r u pairing with yur new rod?
I also have 2 of the 6'7" slow taper but am using both most everyday with different jigs tied on. It is my favorite rod. I ordered the 2nd by accident thinking I was ordering Stan's 6'10" eradicator and thought I would return it but just can't. It's an amazing rod and when Randy sent me down the rabbit hole didn't realize just how deep it was, but I was warned in all fairness. When I got my 1st ticht ice cube thought that was amazing now I hardly ever fish with it. As my mentor Alphahawk would say " Life is good". Scott
+1 on the thread starting to come back. It will get even better as Japan rod production comes back to life and we learn to live with the new normal. Fish on and keep the news coming!

Now that's there a section for Ultralight, wouldn't it make more sense to start a new thread for each new rod or topic?
