I should probably wait until after the New Year's, things seem slow on Japanese web stores. Not a lot of holiday sales this season, too...
Yep..finding something on sale this year that was worth having was hard to find. I'm sure their business is way off.....if for no other reason they are having trouble sourcing just like us. Seems anything I look at that I want there is no stock on hand.

I did get the lunakia for Christmas, however it has not arrived yet. In fact, it likely has been sitting somewhere in the northeast for the last week and a half. I’m not in a hurry though, it will get here eventually. I know USPS and other shipping services are overwhelmed these days and are doing their best.

The Lunakia is finally on the move! It sat somewhere for 2+ weeks but finally got to distribution center today. Says it will be here Thursday. Fingers crossed!

You got the 610?! You've been posting about this for months. I am walking the same path. After looking at it for months, and promising not to buy another rod in 2020, I finally have my Lunakia LK6102S-MLT. It took 8 days to arrive from New York via Priority Mail. I'm very grateful to Chris for stocking these rods.

It is surprisingly stiff. The tip is incredibly thin, like no rod I've ever seen.

I will pair it with my Ballistic FW and head out tomorrow in search of some winter crappie.

    Hope your Lunakia arrives soon!

    Scott

It finally arrived after 20 days, got it last Thursday. It’ll be another week or so until I get to use it.

First impressions of the new Lunakia? Scott above reports it to be stiff? How does it shake next to the ABU? Just curious

Pretty good first impression. I like it a lot. Looks really sharp. The Lunakia is stiffer than the Eradicator I have. Should be good for tangling with larger panfish/crappie.

I took the new Lunakia out Tuesday. The fish were not biting, but I got a good idea of the capabilities of the LK6102S-MLT.

    First impressions:
-The rod is matte black and charcoal, not really any bling, no silver or gold thread or fancy cork. It seems functional rather than fashionable.
-The butt end is stiff and strong and seems capable of handling big fish.
-The tip end is super light and thin but not soft or slow in action. The 1.2 mm diameter tip seems fragile, and I'm worried about breaking it, but that won't keep me from reaching for this rod first when I get to the lake.
-My lightweight Ballistic FW reel is a perfect match for it.
-The tiny "micro" guides are so small that threading the line through the last few guides is going to be tough for people with poor vision.
I wish I had not forgotten my HatEyes! Fortunately, I just got my new bifocals, so this should be easier next time.
-It can cast longer than probably any other rod I have. A 1/8 oz jig went forever when cast by the Lunakia.
-It really is as sensitive as everyone says. You can feel every bump on the bottom of the lake. You can feel it in the rod tip when you speed up or slow down your retrieve.

Now I just need to get some fish on this rod! I will head back out over the long weekend and try a different lake with a better chance for some bluegill and crappie.

Overall, quite the upgrade on my Daiwa Spinmatic and Okuma SST rods!

Who has this rod that can give me some feedback. I already have the 6'7" slow taper special. Scott
