The Unitaka Nightgame PE II line is on sale at Plat, so while ordering some more jig heads, I added a few spools of the 3 lb size. My Tict is the IC-69P-Sis Rockin' Power, which - as far as I can decipher the Tict website - is a little stiffer than the Finesse, 1 mm thicker in the butt, and is rated for up to 7g jigs and up to 0.35 PE line. I have been using 2 lb mono on it until now. I will also try it on my Yamaga BC jig special.
I am not a big fan of the Varivas ester line (love the sensitivity but hate the manageability), but have only tried it once, and have 2 more spools of it to try later in bream bedding season. I think I over-filled the spool, and used it the next day after spooling, and it was a wind-knot nightmare.
I keep hooking dagblasted spotted bass while fishing Lanier for crappie, so I needed something a bit stronger than the 2 lb mono. I also got some USA PE line on sale, the Sufix nanoBraid in 2 lb to try. I will be using a flourocarbon leader (3 lb Sunline FC Sniper).
